A. 動詞第三人稱單數變化。
1. 通常只在動詞字尾加 s 即可：
| open→opens | look → looks |
2. 若原動詞字尾是 s, o, x, ch, sh 等時，則加 es：
| teach→teaches | wash → washes |
3. 若原動詞字尾是「子音＋y」時，則去 y 再加 ies：
| study→studies |
4. 特殊字：
